England’s skipper Joe Root missed last year’s IPL auction due to the birth of his child. However, thought Root was a part of this year’s auction, the English skipper attracted no bids for himself. It came as a surprise to many when Root was unsold in the auction. He is often considered as a Test player albeit his T20 records show otherwise.

Root has featured in 25 T20Is in which he has scored 743 runs at an average of 39.10. His strike rate of 128.76 is decent for a player of his calibre and class. The right-handed batsman has the ability to rotate the strike in the middle overs of an innings. His ability against the spinner is another asset on the slow turning pitch of Hyderabad.

The three players, Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft, who have been suspended in the ball-tampering case, have heard the decision to return home. On Tuesday (March 27th), Australia Cricket CEO James Sutherland gave this information in a press conference.

He said that currently the Australian team captaincy wicketkeeper Tim Paine has been handed over to the team. Meanwhile, coach Darren Lehmann has been given a clean chit in this case. James Sutherland officially told that Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft have violated Australian Cricket Code of Conduct 2.3.5.

Sadarland said at the press conference that “Cricket Australia has been a very tough time since Sunday. I apologize to Cricket Australia for my countrymen and cricket fans. Especially those children who like cricket.

This blot is tragic for Cricket Australia. Our investigation has not been completed yet. Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft have been found guilty of Cricket Australia’s Code of Conduct 2.3.5 violation. They are being suspended till the investigation is complete
