Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi will command ICC World XI in the T-20I against the West Indies.

Earlier, Eoin Morgan was the captain of the World XI. But due to the fracture of the finger, Morgan got out of the match. That’s why Afridi’s captain has been made. Instead of Morgan, Sam Billings has been given a place in the team for this match.

Morgan got injured in the right-hand ring finger in a match against Somerset in the Royal London One Day Cup. Morgan will be fit against Scotland before the one-dayer on June 10. This will be followed by a five-match ODI series against Australia.

England’s Sam Kurren and Tymle Mills also got a place in the 14-man squad for the match. This match is being played to repair the historic cricket stadium of the West Indies.

The amount earned will be spent on Sir Wives Richards Stadium Antigua, the Windsor Park Stadium, Dominica and many more stadiums.

These cricket stadiums suffered significant damage due to the cyclone Irma and Maria last year. Apart from this, the second cricket stadium on the Caribbean Islands also came under the storm.

Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi is returning to international cricket from this match. However, this would be his last match too. Afridi last played for Pakistan in the T-20 World Cup held in 2016. Prior to Morgan’s departure, Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya also withdrew their names from this match.
